Do I need a visa to visit Uganda?

Most visitors require a visa, available online via the Uganda e-Visa portal or on arrival. We recommend applying at least two weeks before travel.

What is a boat safari, exactly?

A boat safari is a guided cruise along a river or channel — like the Nile at Murchison Falls or the Kazinga Channel — that lets you view wildlife from the water, often getting closer to hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and water birds than a vehicle safari allows.

How do gorilla trekking permits work?

Permits are issued by the Uganda Wildlife Authority and are limited daily per park sector. We handle booking on your behalf — the earlier you book, the better your chances during peak season (June–September, December–February).

Is Uganda safe for tourists?

Yes. Uganda is one of East Africa’s most stable and welcoming countries for travel. Our guides and boat crews are trained in safety protocols for all activities.

What vaccinations do I need?

Yellow fever vaccination is mandatory for entry. We recommend consulting a travel clinic for additional recommendations, such as typhoid, hepatitis A, and malaria prophylaxis.
